TOUR 1       WINTER WARMER - EASTBOURNE

24th - 27th FEBRUARY              4 DAYS

£175.00          No Single Room Supplement

Eastbourne is a lovely resort and enjoys a fabulous position on the edge of the South Downs.  It has higher than average sunshine figures and there are 3 miles of promenades.  The world famous Carpet Gardens are a pleasure to look at whatever time of the year.  Eastbourne has many attractions including a Victorian pier and bandstand.  The town dates back to 1811, when a local Squire, Louis Regonwell, built a summer house on the wild unpopulated heathland and he planted the first palm trees that now characterise the area.

Your hotel is The Mansion (Lions) Hotel which enjoys a superb position along the seafront.  It is opposite the bandstand and within level walking distance of the town centre shops.  All bedrooms have en-suite, television, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities.  There is a lift but some steps may occur.

Day 1   We depart from the local area and make our way towards Eastbourne, stopping en-route for coffee.  We call at Royal Tunbridge Wells for lunch and make our way to our hotel in time to relax before our evening meal.

Day 2   Today we have a full day excursion to Brighton.  Brighton has so much to see and do, it has a good shopping centre and many places to sit and eat.  There is nothing quite like a bracing walk along the pier or the promenade.  The Lanes are in the old part of Brighton and are a myriad of antique shops and boutiques alongside fishermen's cottages and quaint old pubs or you can choose to spend the day in Eastbourne.

Day 3   We have a leisure day in Eastbourne where you can do as much or as little as you like.  There are many things to do and see, take a gentle stroll around the many parks and gardens in Eastbourne or enjoy the shopping area, or maybe a little of both.

Day 4   After breakfast we leave the coast and travel to Tenterden where we stop for lunch.  Arriving back in our local area by late afternoon.
